Anna-Marie Adler (she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as Rogue, and foster daughter to Raven. Chose her other foster mother's surname as her maiden name rather than keep her husband's surname of LeBeau, viewing herself as effectively divorced by circumstances upon coming here. Sees herself as something of an older sister to her younger counterpart Rogue.

Pre-system: A young mutant who ran away from her family and was taken in by Mystique and Destiny as foster mothers, briefly becoming a member of the former's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and eventually leaving the group to join the X-Men. Unable to control her powers for the majority of her history, she was forced to avoid touching others at all cost in order to avoid draining their energy, though in times of conflict it allowed her to temporarily absorb the powers and even memories of her adversaries.

Ororo Munroe (she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as Storm. One of our more strongly individualistic members, due in large part to some unfortunate in-system strife when she first arrived, though her experiences eventually led to the formation of SPEAC, which she represented on our leadership council until the Myriad was split into Aranea and Phoenicis.

Pre-system: One of the X-Men's earliest members, and the team's leader for many years. After being orphaned by a plane crash and becoming a child thief in Cairo, her mutant power to control the weather manifested, and she came to be worshipped as a goddess until she was recruited to the X-Men, eventually becoming one of their most powerful and prominent members, a member of the Quiet Council of the mutant nation of Krakoa, and the wife of Wakanda's ruler, King T'Challa.

Esme Frost (she/her)

In system: The quintuplet clone daughter of Emma Frost, known alongside her sisters as the Stepford Cuckoos or the Five-In-One, who could amplify their telepathic powers by working together in close proximity. Comes from a world much closer to that of Fox's The Gifted TV show rather than the comics, and is currently the only one of her sisters to join the Myriad.

Jubilation "Jubilee" Lee (she/her, fae/faer)

In system: The mutant known as Jubilee. Closest to her depiction in X-Men: The Animated Series.

Pre-system: A young mutant who was taken in by the X-Men after her foster parents well-intentionedly registered her with the Mutant Control Agency, not realizing it would bring a Sentinel to their door looking for her. She would go on to become a trusted member of the team, though she was often frustrated by their protectiveness and eager to take on larger and more dangerous missions.

Karoline Wagner (they/them, she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as Nightcrawler, whose gender changed upon arriving here for unknown reasons. Daughter of Raven and adoptive sibling of Anna-Marie and Rogue.

Pre-system: After being left behind by their mother Mystique in a desperate escape, Karoline grew up in the circus, eventually running away due to mistreatment for her demon-like appearance and taking shelter at a Catholic church, where they quickly grew into a strong believer. They would later encounter and join the X-Men, using her power of teleportation to aid the team in their heroic endeavors.

Katherine "Kitty" Pryde (she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as Shadowcat. Possibly the most attached to her powers of the whole Myriad, and somewhat regularly forgets she needs to open doors to walk through them. Currently dating Illyana and Gwen.

Pre-system: A young member of the X-Men with the ability to change her density at will, allowing her to phase through walls, walk in midair, or allow physical attacks to pass through her harmlessly. Longtime friend and roommate to Illyana, due to being roughly the same age after Illyana's accelerated aging from time dilation in Limbo.

Laura Kinney-Howlett (she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as the third Wolverine, after being split from the original Laura due to a botched resurrection. Takes after her father somewhat more strongly than her fictional counterpart, and has developed a habit of rage-cleaning to blow off steam.

Pre-system: A failed genetic clone of James "Logan" Howlett, who was stabilized with the DNA of and carried to term by the lead researcher on the revived Weapon X project, Sarah Kinney, becoming the biological daughter of the two. After a rocky start in escaping the control of her creators, she joined the X-Men at her father's recommendation, following in his footsteps as the second Wolverine. She would later be presumed dead and resurrected after a botched mission during the Krakoan era, where a mistake in the resurrection process resulted in her gaining an adamantium skeleton like her father's; after the original Laura returned, the resurrected Laura kept the Wolverine title and the original took the name Talon.

Lorna Dane (she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as Polaris, and the adoptive sister of Wanda.

Pre-system: The daughter of infamous mutant villain Magneto, Lorna's powers manifested at an early age due to a fight between her mother and surrogate father about her mother's infidelity, with her control over magnetism going berserk and crashing her father's plane. Left orphaned and raised by her aunt and uncle, Lorna had a fraught relationship with the mutant community, attempting to remain largely neutral but inevitably bouncing between the X-Men and her father's Brotherhood as fate relentlessly sought her out.

Raven Darkhölme (she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as Mystique, an age-old shapeshifter who became a notorious terrorist while fighting for mutant rights. Foster mother to Anna-Marie, alongside her former wife Irene Adler / Destiny.

Remy LeBeau (he/him, dey/dem)

In system: The mutant once known as Gambit, the former heir to the Louisiana Thieves' Guild and a member of the X-Men. Formerly married to Anna-Marie pre-system, current relationship status is indeterminate.

Rogue (she/her)

In system: The mutant known as Rogue. Closest to her depiction in X-Men: Evolution. Arrived significantly after her comics counterpart Anna-Marie, as the first ever double among our system.

Pre-system: The adoptive daughter of Mystique, who joined Mystique's Brotherhood unaware of her mother's true identity after an incident where her mutant power activated unintentionally, though she would later leave to join the X-Men upon realizing that Mystique had been manipulating her. Attended Bayville High School alongside both teams, and became pivotal in many of the conflicts arising from their rivalry.

Wanda Maximova (she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as the Scarlet Witch, and the adoptive sister of Lorna.

Pre-system: Born in Serbia to a nomadic Roma single mother, Wanda was experimented on as a child by the High Evolutionary, as well as inheriting her mother's magic. She eventually became a member of Magneto's Brotherhood along with her twin brother Pietro, mistakenly believing he was their birth father, and later defected to join the Avengers, even marrying her synthezoid teammate Vision. While she was not a mutant by birth, the HE's meddling gave her a false X-Gene and she grew up unaware of her history with him, leading her and many others to consider her a mutant.

Moira MacTaggert (she/her)

In system: The mutant once known as Moira X.

Pre-system: Moira MacTaggert spent most of her first life unaware she was a mutant. However, her powers activated upon her death, resetting the world to the moment she was born, and she spent many of her successive lives researching mutant genetics and searching for ways to avert the impending doom presented by the Sentinel program.

Piotr Rasputin (he/him)

In system: The mutant once known as Colossus, and Illyana's brother.

Pre-system: The second son of a farmer's family in Soviet Russia, Piotr's ability to turn his skin to metal manifested at age 13. While he initially used his powers primarily to help his family around the farm due to his increased strength, he left Russia and joined the X-Men after an incident in which he stopped a runaway tractor from harming his younger sister Illyana.
